The Short.

Delivered by a midwife on the 12th story of a Chicago high-rise apartment, since birth I’ve been a bit unconventional. I’m a product of Chicago Public Schools, The Chicago Public Library and the Chicago Park District.

My Grandfather, Moms side, practiced the craft of woodworking in his barn workshop, upon every visit while growing up my eyes would fill with wonder seeing his tools, machines and creations. However having a father from the old country my future was to be that of university. It wasn’t until 2019 that I left work in the digital realm and embraced my kinesthetic desire to work in the physical realm. I attended a six month leather working intensive at the Chicago School of Shoemaking and Leather Arts and have been practicing the craft ever since. My specialty is in leather craft, but I’m no stranger to other materials.

Crafting brings me great joy, but repairs bring me the greatest fulfillment.
